On August 26th, miss A’s Suzy made an appearance on the third season of “Superstar K” to support her contestant Jang So Yeon, who was revealed to be her high school friend.

Suzy appeared in Jang So Yeon’s introduction segment, where they revealed that they’ve been close friends ever since childhood. The show also revealed a short clip of Suzy’s audition for the debut season of “Superstar K”. Jang So Yeon expressed, “We both dreamt of becoming singers.”

Although Suzy failed to reach the next round of the show, she was fortunate enough to catch the attention of a JYP Entertainment employee, who quickly signed her with the agency. The rest is history, as Suzy is now a member of the highly-successful girl group, miss A.

T-ara’s Jiyeon (18), will tentatively stop broadcast activities until her right knee ligament injury is recovered.

On the 25th during dance choreography practice, Jiyeon injured her knee and now plans to take a break, but before that she took part in the pre-recording of SBS “Inkigayo” to promote T-ara’s “Roly-Poly” one last time on the 28th.

Her agency Core Contents Media said, “T-ara were ending their ‘Roly-Poly’ activities on the recent episode of Inkigayo and would have Hyomin missing due to the filming for the MBC drama ‘Gyebaek’. We encouraged Jiyeon to rest and miss out on the performance too, but she had a strong commitment to finish promotions with the other members.”

They continued with, “Jiyeon was at the hospital before the pre-recording and was on a strong painkiller medicine. She was compelled to go to the recording with a cast on her knee, even though she knew she would experience pain, and then immediately back to the hospital after recording. She has had a cast on for a few days and is relaxing mainly, and trying to keep watch on the progress. The pain is so severe for Jiyeon that she will no longer be able to participate in the 4~5 Chuseok programs that she was planning to take part in.”

T-ara plans to promote in Japan mainly in September.

“I don’t like to lose. In fact I have a strong desire to win and that’s why my name is called “Seungri” (Victory).

If people tell me that I can’t do something, I will want to do it. If they say I still can’t do it, I will want to do it even more. If there’s absolutely nothing else I can do, then my tears will fall. I think that is youth.

Rather than the people who follow rules, the ones that exceed all expectations are those filled with youthfulness and energy. I hope that I can enjoy every moment and stay happy forever under any circumstances.” 

T-ara’s Jiyeon decided to try out a new hairstyle by getting blunt bangs!

On August 25th, Jiyeon posted selca pictures on her Twitter, tweeting, “A good-feeling start~ Fighting today, too!”.

Seen making several cute expressions for the camera, it seems like the new bangs revitalized Jiyeon’s spirit. After all, who doesn’t feel good when they get a new haircut?
